Explore the Mean & Range Chart

Numbered Mean
  1. The current batch of product being monitored
  2. The production line that is currently being monitored
  3. The Cpk calculation of the current batch being monitored; the Cpk calculation is the measurement of how capable your current process is of making product to customer tolerances. If the Cpk value is less than one then the process is not capable, if it is more than one it is capable. The higher the Cpk value the more capable the process
  4. The Ppk calculation for the product being monitored; the Ppk calculation is the same as the Cpk except that it covers all historical data for that product rather than just the current batch being produced
  5. The current characteristic being monitored
  6. A key for the Mean & Range chart tolerancelimits
  7. Real-time alarms which are triggered when the process goes over set tolerance limits
  8. Range chart indicating process variance
  9. Mean chart indicating process trends

Explore the Histogram

Numbered Histogram
  1. The total number of readings being displayed
  2. The production line that is currently being monitored
  3. The current batch of product being monitored, this can be selected from live and historic data
  4. The current characteristic being monitored
  5. The time period the the current batch being monitored
  6. Historic lookup for previously recorded data
  7. Lower and upper warning limits; when the variance of the production line strays to these limits a warning alarm sounds
  8. Lower and upper alarm limits; when the variance of the production line strays to these limits a heightened alarm sounds
  9. Lower and upper customer tolerance limits; the predefined product specification that the customer will accept
  10. The histogram results showing the distribution from the recorded output

Learning Mode

In learning mode, the software can analyse stored data on each characteristic and perform calculations to derive process capability (Cpk) and warning and action limits. Learning mode can use pre-existing logged data; alternatively, it can calculate limits from batches of known good production.
